Notation License (separate from the above)

The MeOS notation specification itself — membrane syntax, BiperLink, Me
notation, badge format, depth markers, and related conventions described in
this project — is dedicated to the public domain. Anyone may implement,
document, teach, fork, or extend the MeOS notation in any system, without
permission, attribution, or fee.

Trademark Notice (separate from the above)

"MeOS" and "μOS" are unregistered common-law trademarks asserted by 川嶋俊克
(Toshikatsu Kawashima) as of 2026.05.16, alongside the following defensive
name variants in the MeOS(TM) family:

  Latin / Greek: MeOS, μOS
  Chinese (semantic): 微OS, 膜OS
  Chinese (phonetic): 美OS, 妙OS, 米OS
  Japanese: ミーオス, ミューオス, メオス
  Korean: 미OS

These variants are publicly claimed here primarily as prior-art evidence
against third-party squatting in first-to-file jurisdictions (notably China).

See README.md "License & Trademark" section for the full trademark policy.
Trademark assertion does not restrict the MIT-licensed software above or
the public-domain notation specification.
